Please note the following policies on items placed on Reserve.
Personal Items on Reserve
The library cannot assume responsibility for the replacement of lost or damanged personal materials. Sticky labels are placed on all Reserve items for identification. With your permission, personal copies of books are treated for the security system. The library strongly recommends in-library use only for personal items. Please choose the 2 or 4 hour loan period for personal items.
The copyright law (Title 17, U.S. Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. In accepting copies for Reserve, the Library assumes they have been made in compliance with the "Fair Use" provisions of Section 107.
The library cannot accept:
- reporoductions that constitute an excessive portion of the original work.
- any photocopied excerpt that has been placed on reserve previously.
- assigned textbooks for the class if they are available in the campus book store.
Instructors are responsible for complying with copyright law.
