Fines and Replacement Charges

Overdue fines and other charges may be assessed for library materials not returned on time (see chart below).

Fines may be appealed by filling out the Fines Appeal Form.

SEU borrowers may pay library fines at the Student Financial Services Office (MB 204) with cash, check, or credit card. Fines over $10 are automatically transferred to the SFSO and must be paid there. Borrowing privileges are suspended when $50 or more in fines has accrued OR when 10 or more items are overdue. If items are not returned during the grace period, fines will accrue from the due date and item will go into "replacement" status.

Alumni/Courtesy borrowers may pay library fines at the Library Services Desk using cash, check, or credit card. These borrowers must pay any outstanding fines before checking out or renewing more items.
