Services for Faculty
The Scarborough-Phillips Library is committed to service. Whatever your needs are - for research or for your classroom - we're here to help.
Services
- Library Faculty Liaisons
Library Faculty Liaisons (or Subject Librarians) are a bridge between the library, teaching faculty, and academic departments. They select library materials for their assigned subject areas and ensure that the library supports the curriculum for that area with appropriate books, journal titles, databases, and other materials. Acquisitions requests and questions about other library materials will be handled by the appropriate liaison. - Library Instruction
Course-related library instruction sessions are professor requested and can be tailored to a specific class assignment, a specific discipline, or can provide a basic introduction to library research. Library faculty will work with you to create an instruction session that meets the needs of your class. - Course Reserves
The reserve collection, located behind the Library Services Desk of the Scarborough-Phillips Library, is a special collection of materials that are circulated for a limited period of time. Faculty can place materials on course reserve for their students with some exceptions. - Booking Materials
A booking is an advance request from SEU faculty to use Library Media items for a specific class. Booking of Library Media items is provided to ensure availability of materials.
